Characteristics of Changes in Vegetation Cover and Its Driving Forces in the Hunsandak Sands
The spatial and temporal distribution and change trends of vegetation cover in the Hunsandak Sandy Land from 2000 to 2020 were analyzed by using long time series of MODIS remote sensing images and meteoro-logical data, and applying the methods of NDVI,trend analysis,Mann-Kendall statistical test and correlation anal-ysis,to explore the relationship between vegetation cover and climate in the region. The relationship between re-gional vegetation cover and climate is analyzed, and the reasons that may lead to the change of vegetation cover are explained. The results show that:① the vegetation cover of Hunsadak Sandy Land is good in general from 2000 to 2020,and the vegetation cover gradually increases from west to east in space, and increases year by year with high stability in time;②vegetation cover gradually increases with elevation, precipitation and evapotranspi-ration,forming a positive correlation, and gradually decreases with temperature, forming a negative correlation;③during the study period, the area of each land use type does not change much. The vegetation cover on different types of land varies greatly, and the mutual transformation between different land use types can make the vegeta-tion cover higher.
