Investigation and Analysis of Benthic Organisms in Xiangtoushan National Nature Reserve,Guangdong Province
This study aims to assess the diversity of benthic organisms in Xiangtoushan National Nature Reserve,Guangdong Province and explore their role in ecosystems.Through four surveys conducted at 15 sites within the protected area in different seasons,a total of 1038 species of benthic organisms were recorded, belonging to 96 families,49 orders, and 6 classes. The results of the study showed that the reserve has a rich diversity of benthic organisms, with arthropods being the most abundant group, accounting for 83.33%of the total species count. In addition, this study also evaluated the biological density, richness index(dM),and Shannon-Wiener index(H'),to quantify the level of biodiversity, and made corresponding conservation recommendations.
