Investigation and Health Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals in Agricultural Land of a Mining Town in Southwest China
This study investigated the heavy metal pollution of agricultural land in a mining town in southwest China, explores the distribution law of pollutants, evaluates the soil environmental quality of agricultural land,an-alyzes the environmental risk level of agricultural land, and provides basic information for subsequent classified management. The survey results show that there are lead and cadmium pollution problems in the farmland soil, and the range of exceeding the standard is wide.206 soil and crop samples were collected in the plot. The total cadmium concentration in the soil is between 0.03~0.5 mg/kg.17 samples exceed the screening value, and the rate of exceeding the standard is 8.25%;The total lead concentration in soil ranged from 19.5 mg/kg to 387 mg/kg.There were 97 samples exceeding the screening value, and the rate of exceeding the standard was 47.09%.Only radish and barley in the agricultural product samples showed excessive lead,,and the other samples did not exceed the standard. The environmental analysis level of the investigated area is low risk.According to the results of health risk assessment, the potential total non-carcinogenic risk and potential total carcinogenic risk of heavy met-als in the soil of adults and children were negligible in this survey.
