Hydro-chemical Characteristics and Formation Mechanism Between Subsidence Lake and Shallow Groundwater in Luling Coal-Mining Area
In the present research, the mining subsidence area in Luling, the southeast of Suzhou province, was se-lected as the main study area.37 water samples were collected from subsidence lake and shallow groundwater. In this paper, the hydro-chemical characteristics, the mechanism of water-rock interaction and environmental stable i-sotopes were analyzed by Box plots,Chadha diagram and Gibbs mode between subsidence lake and shallow groundwater. Results showed that almost all water samples were NaHCO3 type, which was within ion exchange processes.Correlation analysis and Gibbs diagram indicated that the main source of ions of waters in this area were both influenced by rock dominance and main affected by silicate weathering and evaporite dissolution through the normalized diagram. There was a significant correlation between cation Na,Ca2+and Mg2+in the subsidence lake and shallow groundwater, revealing the mechanism of water-rock interaction.Based on the analy-sis results of D and 18O,subsidence lake and shallow groundwater were influenced by atmospheric precipitation and evaporation. With the hydro-chemical tracers, the hydraulic connection between subsidence lake and ground-water in this area have been identified in detail for better understanding the hydrogeological processes, which will provide a scientific basis for the recharge sources of subsidence lake and shallow groundwater, and provide a sci-entific basis for the rational development of water resources and ensuring water security.
