Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties of High Strength Concrete
To establish the relationship among the axial compressive strength,splitting tensile strength,flexural strength,and cubic compressive strength of C60 high-strength concrete,strength conversions were conducted a-mong these parameters.Through conducting basic mechanical performance tests on concrete,its cube compressive strength,axial compressive strength,splitting tensile strength,bending strength,and other performance indicators of high-strength concrete are tested.The basic mechanical properties of C60 high-strength concrete and their inter-relationships are investigated.The applicability of the conversion relationship between axial compressive strength and cubic compressive strength,as specified in China's current codes,to high-strength concrete is examined.The results show that the recommended values in China's current codes are conservative when calculating the axial compressive strength of high-strength concrete.Then,by collecting the relevant data in the literature at home and abroad,the relationship between axial compressive strength,splitting tensile strength,flexural strength and cube compressive strength is analyzed.According to the proposed strength calculation formula,the cubic compressive strength can be directly converted into the specific values of axial compressive strength,splitting tensile strength and flexural strength.The strength calculation formula and value suggestion based on C60 high strength concrete are put forward,which can provide a reference for the strength conversion of basic mechanical properties of con-crete and the revision of the code.
