Evaluation of Asphalt Pavement Surface Segregation Based on TM2
In order to evaluate the degree of surface segregation of asphalt pavement and control the uniformity of asphalt pavement construction,a manually pushed laser texture analyzer(TM2)was used to detect the average structural depth of the pavement surface. It was proposed to use the average structural depth ratio to evaluate the surface segregation of asphalt pavement. The results indicate that the manual push laser texture analyzer(TM2)has good reproducibility, high testing efficiency, and stable testing results.Compared with traditional evaluation methods, the average construction depth ratio can effectively evaluate the degree of segregation on the surface of asphalt pavement. There is a mild segregation of 20%in the road section detected at a distance of lm from the edge. There is 5%mild segregation in the middle of the first lane, and 15%mild segregation at the joint position of the paver. It is necessary to strengthen the rolling of the edges of the guardrail and the joints of the paver, and minimize the number of times the paver collects the bucket,in order to reduce surface segregation and improve the uniformity of asphalt pavement construction.
