Analysis of Spatiotemporal Characteristics of Climate Suitability for Summer Tourism Across China
Based on the daily and hourly ground observation data of 2331 national meteorological stations in Chi-na from June to August during 1993-2022,as well as the hourly ground observation data from 2013 to 2022,con-sidering the climate suitability and high impact weather on summer tourism,this paper analyzes the temporal and spatial distribution of summer tourism suitability,providing a reference for public travel.The result show that:① over the past 30 years,the proportion of the most comfortable,comfortable,and relatively comfortable climate comfort levels in summer has been the highest in June,followed by August,and the lowest in July.Regions with relatively high climate comfort levels include Northeast China,Inner Mongolia,the northern part of Northwest China,and the northern part of Yunnan;②the high-value range of the summer tourism suitability index in June is greater than that in July and August.The high-value areas in each month of summer are different.The high-value areas include Northeast China,Inner Mongolia,the northern part of Northwest China,and the northern part of Yunnan.Over the past decade,the national average effective climate comfort level in summer has slightly im-proved.The number of high temperature days has increased.The number of rainy days is stable.The number of days with strong winds has not changed much,and the index of suitability for summer tourism has risen.
