Passivation process of hydrogenation catalysts in sulphur recovery unit
The key steps and control points of the passivation process of the hydrogenation catalyst in the 270 kt/a sulphur recovery unit of PetroChina Dalian Pethochemical Company are introduced.During the passivation process of the catalyst,the oxygen content of the process gas at the inlet of the hydrogenation reactor is adjusted according to the temperature rise of the bed.At low temperatures,the ferrous sulfide deposited on the catalyst surface is oxidized to sulfur dioxide and ferric oxide.The passivation effect is confirmed by analyzing the oxygen content of the process gas at the outlet of the reactor.At the same time,the method of injecting alkaline solution into the quench water system is used to prevent subsequent equipment acid corrosion.
