The Shanghai Temporary Municipal Government(STMG)was a democratic coalition of revolutionary classes led by the Communist Party of China(CPC)during the Northern Expedition.Under the organization of the CPC,workers,peasants and urban petty bourgeoisie were widely involved in the construction of the regime,so the STMG was also called"Labor Government".Tasked with anti-imperialist and anti-feudal responsibilities and managing complex revolutionary dynamics,the STMG,in the process of developing the regime,not only served as a vanguard of the working class,but also focused on Party building as an important driving force of the regime construction.It utilized the united front as an important way to rally revolutionary forces,and viewed armed struggle as essential for seizing and consolidating power,which yielded valuable insights for constructing the Soviet regime during the Agrarian Revolutionary War.
