Abstract
The review summarized the biosynthesis,types,and content of saponin com-pounds in Camellia oleifera,analyzed and discussed the effects of saponin compounds on chan-ging the composition of gut microbiota,improving gut barrier function,and enhancing gut immu-nity to promote gut health.
