Gas chromatography analysis method for simultaneous detection of fatty acids and trans fatty acids in vegetable oils
A multi-component gas phase separation method was developed for the determi-nation of 37 fatty acids and 17 trans-fatty acids in vegetable oils.Fatty acid methyl ester was obtained from vegetable oil samples by transesterification with methanol under alkaline condi-tions.The samples were separated on a DB-FastFAME column and determined by gas chroma-tograph with hydrogen flame ionization detector.The results show that the detection limits of the method meet the requirements of national standards.Using this method to measure the quality control samples,the measured results are consistent with the given results,and the relative standard deviation meets the requirements.The method is simple,rapid,accurate and reproduci-ble,and is suitable for batch determination.
