Differences between the Quality Assurance Systems of Explosion-Proof Electrical CCC and IECEx Certifications
This article introduces the development history of the China Compulsory Certification(CCC)for explosion-proof electrical products and the IECEx certification for explosion-proof electrical equipment. It focuses on summarizing the similarities and differences between the factory inspections for explosion-proof electrical products under the Chinese mandatory product certification and the quality assurance capability audits in the IECEx certification. In conjunction with the guidance provided by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China(CNCA)in the document"Notice on Clarifying the Requirements for Recognizing the Evaluation Results of the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC)Conformity Assessment System"(CNCA Function[2023]No.1),the article explores and analyzes the commonalities and differences between the two systems from multiple aspects, including the basis for audit, content of audit, main subjects of audit, and focus of audit. This analysis aims to provide theoretical guidance for establishing a specific process for recognizing the evaluation results of the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC)conformity assessment system.
