Study on mechanical properties of polymer pavement hardening strength of materials prepared by sand and stone aggregates in Open-pit Mines
Geopolymer materials,as a new type of cementitious material, have mechanical properties comparable to cement. The use of geopolymer materials to rebuild the original road surface in open-pit coal mine transportation roads can significantly improve the quality of the transportation road and improve transportation efficiency. This article designs a comparative experiment using two types of sand and gravel materials as aggregates in open-pit coal mines, and studies the strength changes of polymer road building materials in open-pit coal mines under different mix ratios. The test results indicate that the sand and gravel aggregates in the wearing layer have higher mechanical strength compared to the polymer materials prepared from the original materials of the open-pit mine road surface. In addition, the on-site sand and stone materials used in open-pit coal mines are aggregates prepared with polymers that do not change the basic properties of the materials. The mechanical strength of the samples increases with the increase of slag content and the decrease of activator modulus.
