Numerical simulation study on movement law of secondary dust particles on transport road of open-pit mines
In order to reveal the characteristics of secondary dust emissions from transportation roads under the influence of large dump trucks in open-pit mines, and provide basis and theoretical guidance for dust control on transportation roads in open-pit mines,a gas-solid two-phase flow model was established with Xiwan Open-pit Mine as the research object.Through numerical simulation research methods,a numerical simulation study was conducted on the dust emission law and the movement characteristics of dust particles with different particle sizes during the operation of dump trucks on main roads. The research results indicate that the operating speed of dump trucks will have an impact on secondary dust on the road. The higher the operating speed of dump trucks, the greater the height and range of dust. When the operating speed of the dump truck remains constant, particles of different sizes will generate different dust ranges in front and behind the vehicle due to the airflow disturbance caused by body movement.Small particles will generate a larger range of dust in front and behind the vehicle, while larger particles will generate a smaller range of dust in front and behind the vehicle.Due to the continuous vortex zone formed behind the rear of the dump truck during its operation, the range of secondary dust generated behind the rear of the truck is greater than that generated in front of the truck under the same particle size conditions.
