Analysis of seepage and stability of down dip slopes in open-pit coal mines containing faults
This article adopts the limit equilibrium method combined with numerical simulation.Taking a fault-bearing down-slope of an open pit mine in southwest China as a background, the article simulates and analyzes the changes of pore water pressure and seepage field of slope under seepage conditions, and explores the changes of slope stability. The study shows that the infiltration of rainfall changes the pore water pressure of the slope, weakens the physical and mechanical properties of the geotechnical body and changes the distribution of the seepage field, leading to a decrease in slope stability. The fault accelerates the infiltration rate of rainwater and thus affects the location of the landslide.
