Expansion scheme and stability study of south dump in Shitoumei No.1 Open-pit Coal Mine
In order to reduce the transportation distance of external dumping and land occupation of open-pit coal mines, taking the south external dump of Shitoumei No.1 Open-pit Coal Mine as engineering background, the article studies the expansion plan and stability of external dump through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.Through theoretical analysis of the ultimate bearing capacity of the foundation, the maximum height of the waste dump is calculated to be 134 m using the Prandtl Rice formula. The Bishop method is used to analyze the stability of the dump slope, and it was found that the stability coefficient of the dump slope gradually decreases with the increase of the single step height. The optimized single step height is 30 m.The stability coefficient of the dump decreases sharply with the increase of the slope angle, and the optimized slope angle is 21 °.
