Analysis and evaluation of slope stability in the open-pit mine of Shanxi
In order to analyze the deformation and failure mechanism of the loess slope in the northern slope of a certain mine in Shanxi and the changes in slope stability after continuous rainfall,a simplified engineering geological model and calculation model of the BB23-1 section in the northern slope were established based on existing geological data and actual on-site operations.Through research methods and means such as finite element modeling, the deformation and failure mode of the loess slope was determined based on the changes in the loess slope within 9 days of rainfall The variation of stability coefficient indicates that with the continuous increase of rainfall, the mechanical shear strength of the loess layer decreases, and the slope is in a limit equilibrium state on the 9th day of rainfall.
