Influences of operating air conditioning and ventilation system on PM2.5 purification effect
In order to study the purification effect of air purifiers on indoor air during the operation of indoor air conditioning and ventilation system,a combination method of experimental research and CFD simulation was used to study the effect of air conditioning and ventilation system operation on the purification time of the purifier to purify indoor PM2.5 to the acceptable indoor air quality limit of 15 μg/m3 specified by ASHRAE.The results show that the purification time of the purifier plus air conditioner was shortened by 15.2%compared with the purifier when running alone.The purification time of the purifier plus ventilation system is shortened by 30.4%compared with the purifier when running alone;The purification time when the three systems jointly operate is 32.6%shorter than that of the purifier when running alone.The study results can provide reference for exploring the contribution of air conditioning and ventilation systems to the purification effect of air purifiers and for indoor air purification methods.
