Research on damping effect of hard-coating on impeller of centrifugal pump
In order to suppress pump vibration and noise without changing the hydraulic component structure and basic hydraulic performance,the influence of NiCrAlY hard-coating on vibration characteristics of a centrifugal pump impeller were studied.Four simulation models of impeller including original impeller,the upper cover,lower cover and blade coated with hard-coating,were built.The natural frequencies of the 4 models were calculated by finite element analysis.Harmonic and transient response analyses of the impellers were carried out.Finally,the vibration damping effect of the impeller hard-coating was verified by the modal test and response test of the impeller before and after the hard coating is applied.The research results show that compared with the upper and lower cover,the blade with hard-coating has better damping effect on the natural characteristics and vibration response of the impeller.The modal damping ratio of the impeller increases by 4.76%,and the damping effect of hard-coating on the blade reaches over 22%.
