Firstly,a brief review is conducted on the research status of digital humanities in the field of archives in China.Secondly,the necessity and conditions for the transformation of the archival profession are discussed.Finally,the constituent elements of archival profession transformation are explored from three aspects:profession positioning,content composition and practitioner quality.It is proposed to change our mindset,give full play to the advantages of archives in promoting humanities research and knowledge production,highlight the characteristics of archives,and promote the transformation of the archival profession from a custodian of archives to a guardian of human memory,an inventor of archival knowledge content,and a navigator of archival knowledge transmission.
