Reasons for Demolishing Yecheng by Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty
Yecheng was an important city to the north of the Yellow River during the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties,and was completely demolished by Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty after the"Tripartite Rebellion",and Yecheng gradually disappeared into ancient Chinese history.This research is an investigation and demonstration of the reasons for the demolition of Yecheng by Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty.By investigating the strategic position of Yecheng from the perspective of historical geography and the unique geopolitical confrontation between political forces in the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties,the reasons why Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty demolished Yecheng are explored.The decline of Yecheng reflected the end of the chaotic era of the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties and the arrival of a new unified dynasty.
