The Qiang's New Year is an essential festival that highlights the cultural beliefs,spiritual wealth,and folkways of the Qiang people.It is a cultural treasure of the Qiang people and an important part of Chinese intangible cultural heritage,so to protect the Qiang's New Year archives is a vital means to continue the memory and to pass on the culture of the Qiang people.By analyzing the necessity and current protecting situation of the Qiang's New Year archives,the paper points out the problems and deficiencies in the current protection work,and proposes to improve the work from establishing a legal system,clarifying the main body of responsibility,setting up a mechanism for collaborative work and talents and funds guarantee,strengthening the development and utilization,digitization construction and so on.
