Discussion on Changes of the Living Conditions of Mining Workers in the Jin-Sui Base Area
The living conditions of mining workers in the Jin-Sui Base Area underwent three periods:the early stage of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, from 1940 to 1941,and from 1942 to 1945.Before the establishment of the base area, the mining workers suffered a lack of food and clothing. After the establishment of the base area, their living conditions were basically guaranteed, and their living conditions continuously improved with the development of the base area. There are three main reasons for the changes.Firstly, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, labour unions united workers and worked tirelessly to improve their living conditions;secondly, while leading military struggles, the Party attaches great importance to the construction of people's livelihood;thirdly, the development of the mining economy in the base area and stable prices promoted the improvement of living standards of mining workers.
