In Ming Dynasty,Xiejia was incorporated into the litigation process by the local government and became a force that could not be ignored in the judicial field.On the surface,Xiejia was a place of accommodation.In essence,the influence of Xiejia spread to the fields of commerce,trade,customs,tax and corvée and litigation.As a typical social intermediate organization in Ming Dynasty,Xiejia stood between the government and the people.On the one hand,it provided litigation services for the people.On the other hand,it undertook part of the judicial auxiliary function for the government,and became a bridge for the people to the litigation procedure and a medium of communication between the government and the people.
