Abstract
In the late Ming Dynasty, the engraving industry was prosperous and the book market flourished. The reduction in book printing costs and the expansion of book demand made book prices low and widely accepted by the public. The considerable profits from book sales drove bookstores to continuously engrave books and push them to the market. In the late Ming Dynasty, bookstores comprehensively considered profit, public purchasing power, and public reading demand when pricing, and adopted a hierarchical pricing way in the market to meet different levels of book consumption groups as much as possible.
