Responsibilities of Shengjing General Yamen in the Donation System Based on Xianfeng Period of Hetu Dangse
The Shengjing General Yamen was the highest military and political institution in the Shengjing area during Qing Dynasty.With the decentralization of the donation matters from the central household department to the local government,the donation matters in the Shengjing area were also under the control of the Shengjing General Yamen.This paper takes the copy files of the Shengjing General Yamen consulting Shengjing Imperial Household Department in Xianfeng Period of Hetu Dangse as the main historical materials,and explores the responsibilities of the Shengjing General Yamen in the donation system,showing the responsibilities of the Shengjing General Yamen in implementing the donation system and carrying out the donations of officials,rice,weapons and other items.
