As a special type of electronic evidence,WeChat chat records have played an important role in civil litigation as evidence.From the perspective of electronic documents management,based on relevant legal provisions,this paper analyzes 120 civil lending cases with WeChat chat records as evidence,studies and summarizes the status quo of authenticity assessment of WeChat chat records in the current judicial practice in China,discusses the similarities and differences in the connotation of the authenticity of electronic documents in the fields of archival science and law,and puts forward strategies for ensuring the authenticity,so as to advance and standardize the authenticity guarantee work of WeChat chat records.
