The red archives record the development process of colleges and universities built under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.They are valuable cultural accumulation and spiritual wealth of colleges and universities,and also the preferred resources and exclusive nutrients for colleges and universities to inherit the red genes and shape the values of young students.By exploring the concepts of red archives and red genes,this paper analyzes the role orientation and dilemma of red archives in inheriting red genes in colleges and universities,and discusses the practical path of red archives in inheriting red genes in colleges and universities and cultivating new people in the new era.
