Investigation of the King of Qin and Jin in Liao Dynasty:Yelv Longqing
Yelv Longqing was the fiirst king of Qin and Jin in Liao Dynasty,who was granted the iron credential and also the emperor's brother.Through the historical source research of Liao History,combined with the analysis of unearthed epitaphs,it is found that in addition to the four titles recorded in Liao History,he also held the title of"King of Qin".His posthumous title"Emperor Xiaowen's Brother"must be changed from"Emperor Xiaozhen's Brother"by the official historians of Jin and Yuan as a taboo of the emperor Song Renzong,Zhao Zhen.Yelv Longqing once fought secretly with the Liao Shengzong for the crown.Therefore,Shengzong adopted the method of granting him the iron credential to ease the relationship between them.After the birth of the prince Zongzhen,Yelv Longqing gave up the fight.Moved by Shengzong's conciliation policy,he finally entered the palace and presented himself before Shengzong,and the two brothers were reconciled.
