After the abolition of the imperial examination at the end of Qing Dynasty,new education was further promoted and new teacher groups came into being.However,at the end of Qing Dynasty and in the period of the Republic of China,life of teachers in primary and secondary schools in Fengtian province was difficult,which even became a common problem in the society at that time.In order to defend their interests,the teachers launched a series of actions to require their salary.In the face of the salary requisition of the teachers,the Fengtian government,public opinion circles and various educational groups made different responses.Because of the shortage of education funds,the government found it difficult to get a solution,so it defaulted on the payment,and it was hard to solve the crisis of salary requisition.However,in the process of fighting for salary,the teachers won the support of public opinions from all walks of life,so the rights and interests of teachers were protected to a certain extent.
