By reviewing a large number of documents,archives from the Republic of China period,and collected meteorological observation records,the author summarizes and discusses the earliest and longest meteorological observation stations established in modem Tianjin and the precious existing meteorological observation records in China,aiming to discover valuable archival resources,better protect and utilize them,and serve the national economy and people's livelihood.
