Practice,Characteristics and Enlightenment of Archival Literacy Education of American University Archives
Effectively discovering,interpreting,evaluating,and ethically using archives in a specific disciplinary context is a fundamental archival literacy.A survey of the top 20 university archives websites in the United States finds that American university archives mainly improve students'archival literacy through publishing archival research guidelines,embedding archival materials into teaching,and encouraging students to hold archival exhibitions.Their archival literacy education has the characteristics of abundant resources and diverse forms.China can learn from its relevant experience and promote our archival literacy education by formulating education policies related to archival literacy,promoting the integration of archival resources,and building a composite teaching staff.
