Study on the Southward Migration of National Treasures of the Forbidden City from the Perspective of Archival Science
Many materials only understand national treasures as cultural relics when introducing the southward migration of national treasures from the Forbidden City during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.Based on the concept of archives and the records of various documents, this paper points out that in addition to cultural relics, national treasures also include archives of the Cabinet Treasury, the Military Affairs Department and the Imperial Household Department, actual records, sacred edicts and other Qing imperial palace archives.During the entire process of migration, the Palace Museum, government, army and other institutions generated a large number of letters, official letters, receipts, conference records, etc.,which have become historical archives and are valued by the academic community today.
