Research on the Reconstruction of the Library of Northeastern University and the Cultural Salvation Movement During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression
After the outbreak of the"September 18th Incident"in 1931,Northeastern University suffered great hardships and was forced to be exiled to Beiping,Xi'an,Santai,and other places,marking the beginning of the internal relocation of Chinese higher education institutions.During the long years of exile,Northeastern University faced immense difficulties and had extremely challenging teaching conditions.The university library made every effort to restore and rebuild its facilities.It played a significant role in supporting teaching,research,and talent cultivation in Northeastern University under such special circumstances.At the same time,in order to meet the needs of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,awake patriotic enthusiasm among the people,and participate in cultural salvation activities,the library contributed to the ultimate victory of the nationwide resistance against the Japanese invasion.
