A Study of Pursuing Novelty and Identity Experience about Shiwei's Russian Ethnic Group Cultural Tourism in Inner Mongolia
From the perspective of cultural distance,this paper made a grounded theory analysis based on the interview data and travel notes of the relevant tourist groups in the tourism destination of the Russian ethnic group in Shiwei,in order to carry out a comparative study on the tourism experience formed by different tourist groups for the same cultural landscapes,and explore the structural differences,generation mechanism and manifestations of tourism experience about different groups.The results show that:tourists with significant cultural type differences have notably different experience results based on distinct experience demands when visiting the same cultural landscapes;tourists from different culture origin process pursuing novelty experience,and tourists from same or similar culture origin generate identity experience;the pursuing novelty experience can be classified of reclusive pursuing novelty and desirable pursuing novelty,rebellious;and identity experience can be divided into imprinted identity and learned identity,identity exploration and identity commitment.Therefore,tourism experience can be understood as the pursuing novelty experience and identity experience generated by the integration of body and mind of tourists from different cultural groups after their bodies are embedded in the tourism field and stimulated by the landscapes.In this process,according to the different representations of the symbolic meaning of the landscapes,tourists characterize them as five types:ideal landscape,romantic landscape,reclusive landscape,imprinting landscape and myth landscape.This study made the theoretical understanding of tourism experience deepen to the structural differences of experience with the help of analytical means,set up an explanatory framework for tourists from different cultural groups to gaze at the same cultural landscapes and gain different tourism experiences,deepened the understanding of the relationship between the implicit cultural background of group tourists and tourism experience,and provided a theoretical basis for the products development,design and marketing of tourism destinations around the dual tourism experiences formed by the cultural types of tourists.
