Human-environment Interaction and Imagination in the Combination of Virtual and Physical Tourism Space:A Case Study of the Shenzhen Digital Exhibition of the Forbidden City
Under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the new human-environment relationship in the context of tourism in the digital age has become a pressing issue. This study employed Python to gather data from Weibo,Xiaohongshu, and Tiktok apps on user-generated content related to"the way in patterns",an immersive digital exhibition by the Palace Museum and Tencent T-Museum.LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation)theme mining and grounded theory were used to examine the process and mechanism of human-environment interaction in the combination of virtual and physical tourism space. The study's findings indicate that tourists'perceptions in the combination of virtual and physical tourism space are manifested in three primary dimensions:the perception of landscape and heritage values(including cultural and artistic elements, architecture, and landscape),the perception of physical exhibition space, and the perception of technological and digital narratives. With the aid of digital technologies such as VR and AR,tourists can experience a dual immersion of"physical body coexistence"and"remote virtual presence"in the digital narrative spaces(such as Juanqin Zhai)through human-machine-environment interaction, somatosensory interaction,multi-sensory interaction, and value co-creation.The digital experiencing space connects and negotiates cultural imagination, embodied perceptions, and prior knowledge in the"third space"through the interaction of multiple spaces(virtual space, physical space, and the combination of virtual and physical space)to generate emotional resonance and identification and realize the deep excavation and value extension of place meaning.By focusing on the human-environment interaction and geographical imagination in the combination of virtual and physical tourism space, this study expanded the dualism of virtual and physical space and the theoretical model of"tri-space"interaction,and provided suggestions for the creation of new immersion tourism scenarios, the reshaping of the human-environment interaction experience, and the digital activation of cultural heritage.
