Research on the Effect of the Digital Economy on Tourism High-Quality Development in the Yangtze River Delta
The digital economy is the new driving force for the development of tourism in the new stage. As a pioneering area for the digital economy and tourism, the Yangtze River Delta is typical for research.Based on the panel data of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2011 to 2020,this paper comprehensively used web crawler, entropy weight method, spatial measurement and other methods to explore the effect of the digital economy on tourism high-quality development. The study found that the digital economy has a significant role in promoting the tourism high-quality development with a spatial diffusion effect. However, the"spatial dislocation"and regional"digital divide"have led to the insignificant spatial effect of the digital economy in Anhui Province and third and fourth-tier cities. And the policy bias caused by administrative barriers has strengthened the"siphon effect"of the digital economy of cities in metropolitan areas. The moderating effect test showed that the improvement of government administrative efficiency and the expansion of market potential have a positive moderating effect on the high-quality development of tourism empowered by the digital economy. The research conclusions have important guidance and reference significance for tapping the potential of the digital economy and promoting the digital transformation of the tourism industry.
