Research on the Adaptation of Tourism Industry Development and People's Livelihood and Well-being:A Case Study of Zhangjiajie
The adaptation of tourism industry development and people's livelihood and well-being is of great value to promoting the high-quality development and common prosperity of tourist destinations.Taking Zhangjiajie as an example, the three core needs theory of existence, relatedness and growth(ERG theory)is integrated into the theoretical analysis framework of tourism industry development and people's livelihood and well-being to construct an evaluation index system for both.Using the adaptability model, standard deviation ellipse-center of gravity model and obstacle model, the Adaptive relationship and obstacle factors of tourism industry development and people's livelihood well-being in Zhangjiajie from 2002 to 2020 are analyzed from the temporal and spatial dimensions. The results show that:(1)The level of tourism industry development and people's livelihood well-being in Zhangjiajie are generally on the rise, but the former is vulnerable to emergencies, while the latter maintains relatively stable development. The evolution process of the two has gone through the low-level incoordination stage, the fluctuation coordination stage and the coordinate transformation stage, and corresponds to the existence needs(E),relatedness needs(R)and growth needs(G)of ERG theory.(2)The people's livelihood and well-being gradually adapt to the development of tourism industry in the long-term evolution process.Affected by multiple factors at different stages, the development of tourism industry cannot fully match the well-being of residents.(3)In terms of time, the adaptation between tourism industry development and people's livelihood and well-being has generally shown an upward trend, from non adaptation to good adaptation.Spatially,in the northeast-southwest direction,it shows a trend of first extending and then shrinking, and the center is locked in the Wulingyuan area.(4)Insufficient investment in culture and education, restrictions on economic and trade flows in the tourism industry development system, unstable employment and imperfect social security and transportation in the people's livelihood and welfare system are the main obstacles to the adaptation of the two.
