On the Influence of Traditional Ink Painting on Contemporary Chinese Watercolor Painting
With the development of economic globalization,the connections between countries around the world have become increasingly close,and the art and culture of each country collide and complement each other.Watercolor painting was introduced to China from the West as early as the late 19th century.Up to now,with a history of more than 100 years,it has collided and integrated with traditional Chinese ink painting,forming a watercolor art with Chinese characteristics,especially incorporating more elements of ink landscape painting into watercolor landscape painting.This article will analyze the current situation of contemporary Chinese watercolor painting and the differences between ink painting and watercolor painting.Analyze the influence of traditional ink painting on contemporary Chinese watercolor painting from perspectives,water use,brushwork,color,texture,and artistic conception.Using the case studies of painters such as Wu Guanzhong,Wang Zhaomin,and Liu Shouxiang,analyze the impact of traditional ink painting on contemporary Chinese watercolor painting.
