Analysis and Application of Color Expression in Shanghai-Style Calendar Paintings
As a traditional painting art form characterized by regional features and ethnic traits in China,monthly calendar paintings are closely related to social development,people's lives,and aesthetic standards.In terms of color expression,these paintings embody a rich cultural significance and a distinct artistic style.By delving into the origins and characteristics of the colors used in monthly calendar paintings,we can gain valuable insights for modern calendar illustration and the application of art colors.Therefore,this paper analyzes and refines the color characteristics of monthly calendar paintings based on their origins,explores strategies for applying these color patterns in modern design and commercial applications,and deeply considers how to create artworks that are both a continuation of traditional painting color techniques and reflective of modern era traits.Doing so not only helps to preserve and promote the artistic tradition of monthly calendar paintings but also injects new vitality and meaning into contemporary art development.
