Innovative Strategies for Teaching Life Adaptation to Children with Autism Based on Color Therapy
The aim of this study is to explore innovative strategies of color therapy in teaching life adaptation skills to children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD).By applying color-based interventions to the unique sensory experiences and learning challenges of children with ASD,the purpose is to enhance their daily life and social adjustment skills. The paper reviews the theoretical underpinnings of color therapy and its potential for addressing behavioral and cognitive issues in autism, and proposes innovative strategies, specifically the use of color matching to enhance the visual appeal of learning materials, color coding to assist children in differentiating between different life-skills tasks, and the use of color mood cards to help children identify and express emotions. The paper highlights that to meet the needs of different children with autism, these strategies should be individualized and continuously evaluated and adapted in practice. The study calls for follow-up work to further explore the generalizability and effectiveness of these strategies across a wide range of autistic populations.
