As an artistic medium,color can trigger the visual senses,expand the text expression ability of the novel,and better present the theme of the novel.In combination with what he saw and heard when he lived in Xinjiang,Wang Meng used color in his novels to shape characters and express the theme meaning,which not only reproduced the customs of the frontier in reality,but also adhered to the poetic aesthetic,and constructed a literary world with both documentary and poetic aesthetic.By analyzing the function and significance of color writing in Wang Meng's novels,we can better understand the function of the narrative relationship between the novel theme and regional culture in constructing the regional style of Wang Meng's novels.
