Analysis of the Current Status and Dynamics of Forest Carbon Storage in Yunnan Province
Based on the data obtained in the eighth forest resource continuous inventory,the forest carbon storage in Yunnan province was estimated using biomass conversion factor continuous function method.The results showed that the carbon reserve in Yunnan Province was 7.76 x 108 t,with broad-leaved forests showing absolute dominance in terms of area,volume,biomass and carbon density and also playing a greater role carbon fixation.Furthermore,natural forest was stronger than artificial forest in all aspects.Finally,results of forest resource dynamic analysis points out that the area of artificial forest in China has greatly increased and the forest area and forest volume have been increasing..
