In order to select the superior families of Pinus kesiya, this research studied the tree heights and ground diameters of 9 half-year-old families and 1 tester of seedlings .The results showed that the in-crements of heights and diameters of 9 families surpassed that of the tester .Variance analysis indicated that the increments of heights and diameters of families differed greatly , among which the difference of height increments of 7 families and the difference of diameter increments of 8 families were extremely sig-nificant.
