Zoning Control of Rocky Desertification Land in Karst Areas of Yunnan Province
Based on the spatial characteristics of rocky desertification land in Yunnan karst areas and the distribution of geological landforms,climate,hydrology,karst soil and forest vegetation in various regions,the types and lithological combinations of carbonate rocks,the constraints of different karst landforms on regional environment and water and soil resources,the formation and development characteristics of rocky desertification under different geomorphic conditions were studied.88 karst monitoring counties in the prov-ince were divided into 6 governance areas considering factors such as the integrity of karst ecosystems,con-tinuity of geographical units,and sustainability of economic and social development.The geographical loca-tions,geological landforms,parent rocks,hydrology,climate types,distribution of forest vegetation types,and the proportion of different types of karst land in each rocky desertification area were described.
