Comprehensive Evaluation of Ornamental Value of 51 Medicinal and Edible Homologous Plants in Guangxi
In order to fully develop and utilize the resources of medicinal and edible homologous plants and enrich the species of urban garden plants in Guangxi,16 evaluation indicators were determined through literature review and field research,taking into account the ornamental value,garden application potential,and application safety of plants.The comprehensive evaluation structural model was established to comprehensively evaluate 51 typical medicinal and edible homologous plants in Guangxi.The results showed that 51 typical medicinal and edible homologous plants in Guangxi could be divided into 4 grades,the score of Grade Ⅰ was≥2.3,with high ornamental and developmental value;the score of Grade Ⅱwas>2.0-2.3,with relatively high ornamental and developmental value;the score of Grade Ⅲ was>1.7-2.0,with average ornamental and developmental value;the score of Grade Ⅳ was<1.7,with low ornamental and developmental value.Lonicerae Japonicae,Illicium verum,Amomum tsaoko,Lonicera hy-poglauca and Zanthoxylum bungeanum were ranked high but rarely used in gardens,which were out-standing in ornamental value,garden application potential and application safety,which should be further developed and utilized.
