Ecological Benefit of Beijing-Tianjin Sand Source Control Phase Ⅱ Project in Northern Shanxi Province
In order to analyze the ecological benefits since the implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin Sand Source Control Phase Ⅱ Project in north Shanxi Province,Pinus tabulaeformis pure forest and Pinus tabu-laeformis and Pinus sylvestris mixed forest in this region were selected as the research objects, and the plant diversity and soil physical and chemical properties of forest land were studied and analyzed. The results showed that due to the low canopy density and strong direct sunlight, the pioneer plants were light-loving and drought-tolerant herbaceous plants, and the shrubs were scarce;plant diversity and soil physical and chemical properties of P.tabulaeformis and P.sylvestris mixed forest were slightly better than those of P.tabulaeformis pure forest;the increase of plant diversity contributed to to improve the physical and chem-ical properties of soil, and the improvement effect of herbaceous plants on soil surface was obvious.
