Community Structure and Diversity Analysis of Forest Land Birds on Urban-Rural Gradients in Shanghai
The survey on bird diversity during the breeding and wintering seasons was conducted in 10 typical forest land habitats of the central,suburban and exurban Shanghai from 2019 to 2020 by using the transect method.A total of 5423 birds belonging to 82 species,36 families and 14 orders were recorded.Passeriformes had the largest number of bird species,accounting for 70%of the total species richness,and played a major role in the composition and number of bird communities in Shanghai.Among them,Passer montanus and Pycnonotus sinensis were the dominant species.The composition of bird species showed sub-urban>exurban>central areas on the urban-rural gradient in Shanghai,and the number of birds increased with the decrease of urbanization while the density of birds decreased with the decrease of urbanization.
