Superior Clone Selection of Pinus kesiya var.langbianensis with High Resin Yield and Resistance to Dioryctria rubella
This study measured the resin yield, damaged treetop rate, resin chemical composition of 40 high-resin-yield clones and a control of Pinus kesiya var.langbianensis, and analyzed the genetic varia-tion between clones. The results indicated that the resin yield of all the clones were higher than that of the control, the heritability of insect resistance was 0.62.The insect resistance of Pinus kesiya var.langbi-anensis clones was significantly different.5 high-resin-yield clones with resistance to Dioryctria rubella were preliminary selected. The average resin yield of the selected closes was more than 3 times of the control, the average damaged treetop rate was only 1.12%,was about 19%of the control. The damaged treetop rate was significantly positively correlated with 3-carene and γ-terpinene,and significantly nega-tively correlated with caryophyllene, longifolene and β-longipinene.The results indicated that clones with high content of 3-carene and γ-terpinene were more susceptible to Dioryctria rubella, while clones with high content of caryophyllene, longifolene and β-longipinene had higher insect resistance. These three chemical components can be used as insect resistance indicators for Pinus kesiya var.langbianensis.
