Dynamic Simulation Analysis of Spatial Differences of Water Conservation Capacity and Coverage Area of Artificial Forests in Zhangye City
In order to clarify the water conservation capacity and ecological restoration effect of artificial forest areas in Zhangye City,the water conservation capacity measurement and its spatial difference dy-namics of artificial forest areas in Zhangye City were simulated and analyzed.The data on the influencing factors of local water conservation capacity was collected to calculate the amount of water conservation,and classify the level of water conservation capacity.The spatial distribution characteristics of water con-servation capacity in Zhangye City from 2017 to 2021 were simulated by using ArcGIS tool to simulate and analyze the spatial difference dynamics.The results showed that in 2017,water conservation capacity in the eastern edge of Zhangye City was very high,the northwest corner and the eastern middle region were high,the regions with average level were mainly distributed around the regions with high water conserva-tion capacity,the regions with low level were mainly distributed in the western,northeastern,central,and southern regions,and the regions with very low level were mainly distributed in the southern region.In 2018,the coverage area of the region with very high water conservation capacity had a scattered and expanded distribution feature.The coverage area of the region with high water conservation capacity had expanded towards the southwest and the northwest corner was connected with the middle area of the east,the coverage area of other grades was correspondingly reduced.From 2019 to 2020,the area occupied by very high and high areas would be further expanded,while the area covered by other grades would contin-ue to decrease accordingly.By 2021,the area with a very high and high water conservation capacity level had covered most of the local artificial forest area and had extended to the southwest edge,while the area of the other level areas continued to shrink.This paper proved that the artificial forest land in Zhangye City had the ability to improve the water conservation capacity and ecological restoration effect,and ac-cordingly put forward planting strategies such as increasing shrub and grassland planting,and planting e-conomic forests and coniferous forests in areas with high water conservation capacity.
